As a result of Hurricane Milton last October, the road just north of Blind Pass Park was washed away. A temporary road is to be built to reconnect Manasota Key while the years-long design, permitting, and contractor selection processes proceed toward a more resilient road in the future. The temporary road construction will commence this fall soon after all turtle nest have cleared the construction site.
